Engineered Hardwood Flooring

Engineered wood flooring is composed of three or more layers of wood in the form of a plank. The top layer (lamella) is the wood that is visible when the flooring is installed, and is adhered to the core (or substrate) which provides the stability.

Engineered wood is the most common type of wood flooring used globally.

  1. Top layer of 3 – 6 mm. is the prized real wood specie. The balancing core board’s are constructed of high quality Pine wood or multi-layered ply wood. This construction gives excellent stability against expansion and contractionion.
  2. The Parquet Co. Engg wood flooring have a cross structure construction that gives excellent stability against expansion and contraction, and is available in vast varieties of colors, textures and finish. Once installed, it is not possible to make out whether the wood specie installed is Solid Hardwood Flooring or an Engineered Hardwood Flooring, just by looking at it.

  4. The Parquet Co. offers Engg hardwood flooring in bigger widths and super large lengths. Such widths and lengths are either not possible to get in Solid Hardwood flooring or would make it extremely unstable.

  6. Each layer of Multi-Layered Engineered Flooring is treated during the production process to be extremely termite resistant.
